"Whether training for fire season or training to cross a giant canyon, it seems we’re always training for something. Prescott Triple Crown was our way of coming up with something a little tougher than your traditional loop around Trail 33 but not so tough we were broken off days later. PTC is just the right workout, right in our backyard. We realized it wasn’t a casual workout for everyone and that’s why we challenge everyone to try it. There are varying degrees of difficulty to it. You can try to bust it out all in a morning or drag it out all day with a lunch mixed in. You can enjoy a beer with your favorite hiking partner at the top of each trail, or take the challenge one part at a time solo. The bar keeps getting raised, we’ve had runners do the entirety on foot, even had people do variations where they do a “Triple”, Triple Crown. The possibilities only stop with your own imagination and end with whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish for yourself. Most important thing is that we don’t allow our current limitations to stop us from trying something new and difficult. We accept that we might not be ready yet, but we start taking steps to become ready."
